A client brought in his 1986 Ski Nautique 2001 for a bit of restoration work. This is already a good-looking boat, and we'll make it even better.
He asked us to fix an issue with it not idling properly, replace the blower and blower hoses, and take care of a couple of other little issues. As we worked, we found additional work that was needed, and that is all outlined below.

She's all wrapped up and ready to go back to the owner now!
The blower was replaced, and a new blower hose was installed. The old blower wasn't functional, and the hose was completely blocked by a mouse nest!
The existing foam flooring (an inexpensive SeaDek clone) was peeling and failing, and even stepping on it caused damage. It had also been installed in such a way that it was impossible to remove the rear center floor panel. We replaced it with brand new marine carpet, allowing for center panel access, and it looks and functions much better now.
We found that the existing exhaust hoses were cracked and leaking badly. We replaced them with new hoses.
We found that the prop shaft was impossible to turn by hand in neutral, so we knew the alignment was off. The owner had recently had the stringers replaced at a different shop, and it appears that they just tossed the engine back in without aligning it at all. It was SEVERELY out of alignment -- the worst we have ever seen.
We were able to get it aligned perfectly.
