This 1998 Ski Nautique Open Bow (SNOB) came to us from Florida, where it spent numerous summers on Compass Lake. It appears that it hasn't been used much over the past few years. The gelcoat is oxidized, and will require a good wet sanding and polishing to bring it back to life, but it should polish out nicely.

Hours are unknown on this boat because the previous owner removed the hour gauge.

This boat is finished in Violet & Charcoal, with silver pinstripes. The dash is in good condition, the windshield is in good shape (could use new paint on the frame), and opens and closes well. The swim platform is unrestored, but would clean up very nicely.

The engine is the HO 351 with 285 HP. It has a new carburetor, according to the previous owner, and it seems to run well.

The trailer is the original 1998 trailer made for this specific boat. It is in fair condition, and has new tires.

We would restore this boat ourselves before selling, but our shop is so busy right now that we just don't have the time. We have decided to offer this one up as-is. Someone will get a very nice restoration project at a good price.

The boat has a clean and clear North Carolina title.

The trailer title is still being processed, but we expect a clean and clear North Carolina title soon.

Restored, this boat and trailer would be worth at least $20,000.

We will sell the boat and trailer as-is for $7,000.

This beautiful 2006 Ski Nautique 206 is in excellent condition. It is finished in Midnight Blue and Titanium Grey, with Silver pin striping and a Silver Cloud hull. It has the upgraded PCM Excalibur 330 5.7L engine with 330 horsepower and ONLY 159 hours (base engine is 5.0L 275 HP).

This boat spent the majority of its life in the original owner’s garage, and it shows. The interior vinyl is 100% original, and in BEAUTIFUL shape. This is probably one of the very best original interiors that can be found of a boat this age. The vinyl is soft and flexible, and has many years of life left in it. The ONLY imperfection I have found is a small (probably less than 1”) section where the stitching is starting to open up on the observer’s seat. This would be a very easy repair.

This is a Signature Edition boat (not a Limited Edition or Team Edition). This means that the boat has a standard keyed ignition switch, rocker switches for the accessories, and analog gauges. While this was the lower-cost version of the boat when new, it has become quite desired now, since the Limited and Team boats had Faria gateway systems that ran their gauges, and most of those have failed by now, requiring a repair that reaches into the thousands of dollars, and basically converts those boats to the Signature Edition-style gauges, which this boat already has! This boat will never have gateway issues, keypad issues, or other problems associated with Limited Edition or Team Edition Nautiques of this era.

The trailer that comes with this boat is a 2007 Ram-Lin single-axle trailer that was specifically built for the Ski Nautique 206. Obviously, it fits the boat perfectly. It has brand new tires, the bearings have recently been serviced, and all of the lights work. It has a clean and clear North Carolina title. The trailer is in very solid condition, although there is a little bit of cosmetic rust on the fenders. I have pulled this boat on this trailer from Alabama to North Carolina with absolutely no issues. It tows very nicely.

Over the past few months, it has had a number of improvements completed to bring it to its current condition. Here are a few:

  • Gelcoat freshly wet sanded, polished & buffed

  • New Pinstripes

  • New Factory Exterior Graphics (all of them)

  • New Spark Plugs

  • Fresh Oil Change with PCM Brand Filter

  • Fuel Control Cell Freshly Serviced with PCM Brand Filter

  • Freshly Refinished Teak Swim Platform

  • New Gas Shocks on Trunk Doors, Engine Hatch, Observer's Seat & Glove Box

  • New Wood Throttle Knob

  • Brand New Cover

Everything works as-designed, and the engine runs very nicely.

While this is an extremely nice vessel, there are a few imperfect items. Here are a few:

  • Small (probably less than 1”) section where the stitching is starting to open up on the observer’s seat

  • The rub rail has a few marks in it from normal use.

  • There are a few trailering marks on the bottom of the hull, and a few insignificant gelcoat blemishes near the bow, as any 20-year-old boat would have.

  • The cover, while brand new and very nice, does not perfectly match the blue color of the boat.

  • While some recent work was being completed, a person doing the work stepped in some sealant and tracked a small amount onto the carpet behind the driver's seat.

This is probably one of the nicest Ski Nautique 206 boats available, with an upgraded engine and super-low hours. It will provide the new owner with years of enjoyment.

The boat has a clean and clear North Carolina title.

The trailer has a clean and clear North Carolina title.

Price for this boat:

$28,900 with trailer

This 1999 Sport Nautique came to us from Florida, where it spent numerous summers pulling skiers. It appears that it hasn't been used much over the past few years, and was left to sit in the sun and fade. The gelcoat is oxidized, and the vinyl will require complete replacement.

Hours are a very low 124.1.

This is the most well-optioned Sport Nautique I have ever come across. It seems to have every available option from the factory (except the Python engine), including the air/water temp gauge, heater, shower, and even the 6-disc CD changer!

This boat is finished in Navy Blue & Charcoal, with black pinstripes. The dash is in good condition, with a depth finder, air/water temperature gauge, and Correct Craft Cruise (speed control). The windshield is in great shape, and opens and closes well. The swim platform is unrestored, but would clean up very nicely.

The engine is a GT-40 with 310 HP. It is in unknown condition, but we are assuming it does NOT run. The previous owner removed the spark plugs, and the condition of the engine overall appears a little rough. It may be able to be saved, but we are assuming it will need replacement.

The trailer is a mid-1990's Ram-Lin galvanized single-axle. It is not in great shape, but I have moved this boat to this trailer in order to sell the boat at a lower price. The Boatmate trailer that the boat was on when we acquired it is likely worth more than the boat, so that made the price of the boat not match up with the boat's condition. If you want the very nice 2016 Boatmate trailer, that is an option, but the cost will go up.

We would restore this boat ourselves before selling, but our shop is so busy right now that we just don't have the time. We have decided to offer this one up as-is. Someone will get a very nice restoration project at a good price.

The boat has a clean and clear North Carolina title.

The Ram-Lin trailer will be sold on a Bill of Sale.

Restored, this boat and trailer would be worth at least $22,000.

We will sell the boat and Ram-Lin galvanized trailer as-is for just $3,990.

*** This price DOES NOT INCLUDE the black Boatmate trailer that is in some of the pictures. It includes the galvanized Ram-Lin trailer pictured at the end of this post.***

Just picture this all cleaned up!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE BLACK BOATMATE TRAILER IN SOME PICTURES ABOVE DOES NOT COME WITH THE BOAT. The galvanized Ram-Lin trailer in the pictures below comes with the boat. If the black Boatmate trailer is desired, it can be sold with the boat at an additional cost.

The Ram-Lin trailer below has brand new tires, and the bearings have been greased. The lights are the stick-on type, but work well. I make no guarantees on the trailer's condition, and it is not pretty, but it has worked well for me while I have had it.
