1992 Sport Nautique

A client brought his really cool 1992 Sport Nautique to us this afternoon. This boat is still owned by the original family, and they would like to see it brought back to beautiful condition, and that is our plan. It will be getting refreshed gelcoat, new decals & graphics, some engine work, a complete trailer refresh, gauge repairs, a new hidden bluetooth stereo, a refinished windshield frame, and more. Stay tuned as we bring this one back to life!
We wrapped up the last couple of items on this boat today -- We installed the ORCA decal on the transom, mimicking the one that has been on this boat for years. We replaced the aging bilge pump with a new automatic Rule 500 GPH unit, we made some small adjustments to the glove box and its latch so that it closes properly, and we checked over the owner's installation of the drain plug assembly, which he had replaced earlier. As soon as we get the trailer back, this boat can go to the lake for a water test, and then go home!
This vessel got its new cover today! The owner wanted a gray one that mimics the original that came with the boat, so that's what he got, and I must say that it was the right choice.
Bimini top is all mounted and adjusted. I love how this changes the look of the whole boat. It will make time spent onboard so much more enjoyable too. We mounted this one like we always do, where it is far enough forward that the straps will not interfere with the ski rope.
We took some time on this rainy day to assemble the bimini top for this vessel. Should look really good! We'll mount it to the boat tomorrow. Watch for pictures of it fully installed tomorrow.
Nice fresh genuine SeaDek has been installed on the swim platform! I think this one-piece design looks way better than the original three-piece layout.
