A client brought his really cool 1992 Sport Nautique to us this afternoon. This boat is still owned by the original family, and they would like to see it brought back to beautiful condition, and that is our plan. It will be getting refreshed gelcoat, new decals & graphics, some engine work, a complete trailer refresh, gauge repairs, a new hidden bluetooth stereo, a refinished windshield frame, and more. Stay tuned as we bring this one back to life!
Additional parts arrived today as well. The new steering helm, tilt mechanism, and cable arrived, along with the Pro-Tec Elimination Kit. This boat will be a pleasure to drive once these things are installed.
More restoration parts are arriving for this boat! Today, the new OEM decals arrived. These will look great on this boat!
This boat still has its original Holley 4160 marine carburetor. Those are great carburetors, but the original one on this boat is tired, corroded, and just in need of replacement. The owner has opted for one of our favorite carburetor replacements, a Quick Fuel M-600. While this carburetor is still made by Holley, just like the original, this is an upgraded version that includes sight windows in the bowls for easy configuration. We love these Quick Fuel carburetors, and it will make this boat run beautifully.
As mentioned previously, we'll be replacing the dash circuit breaker switches, horn rocker switch, and ignition switch. All of the OEM parts for this arrived yesterday, and we're looking forward to installing them!
The well-worn original rub rail came off today. We'll be replacing this one with a brand new one after the gelcoat is refinished.
