SORT THESE POSTS OLDEST FIRST IN ORDER TO SEE THE

CHRONOLOGICAL PROGRESS ON THIS VESSEL.

This poor 1997 Ski Nautique was caught in a flood at one of our local lakes, and was forced up into the roof of its boat house. The windshield and dash were damaged, and will need extensive repairs. The boat also needs some maintenance items completed. We'll make it beautiful again for its owner!

Ok, she's all fixed, and ready to head back to Hyco Lake!

After a water test, we found that there were four things that still needed to be addressed:

  • Leaking exhaust tube

  • Blower tripping the dash breaker

  • Port-side speedometer pickup defective

  • Thermostat stuck open, causing the engine to run cold

We replaced the exhaust tube with a known-good spare.

We replaced the blower.

We repaired the port-side speedometer pickup.

We replaced the thermostat.

Time for another water test!

This is the exhaust tube that was leaking. This got HOT at some point in its life! Definitely time for a replacement!
