The 2002 Super Air Nautique is a GIANT in wakeboarding history. This era of Super Air Nautique represents the golden age of OG wakeboarding, at least in my opinion. It is hard to find a better representation of that awesome era than this 2002 Super Air Nautique!

We recently acquired this 2002 Super Air Nautique 210 Team Edition (SANTE) from a gentleman right here in North Carolina. It is in nice condition, but the previous owner had an unfortunate incident with his last oil change. It seems that the gasket from the old oil filter stayed on the engine when the old filter was removed, and when the new filter was installed, it was double-gasketed, resulting in the oil leaking out of the engine and the engine requiring a total rebuild.

We will work with our friends at PCM to rebuild the engine, and the rest of the boat will get the full Silver Cove Marine treatment. It will be beautiful!

This vessel was purchased by a great family at the end of March, 2024, and we will be completing this restoration to their specifications.

Work is progressing on the interior of this vessel. Our upholstery expert is diligently working on the new interior skins. Looking forward to installing these!

Today, I made the trip down to PCM to pick up the replacement 6.0L engine for this boat. Other than the Python boats, which there aren't very many of, this engine will make this 2002 SANTE one of the most powerful out there. In 2002, the engine choices from the factory were the 5.8L GT-40 (310 HP), the early Excalibur 5.7L (330 HP), or the 425-HP Python. This replacement engine is configured as a ZR-409 (409 HP), so it is not far off from the power of the Python, but in a 6L package instead of 8.2L. Almost the same power, but much more fuel-efficient. This is going to be a great engine!!

I always say, it is all about the details. I know I have posted a bunch of pictures of this dash, but they are one of my favorite things to work on, and this one came out especially nice. The final piece for the dash arrived today. It is now customized for our client, just as if he had ordered the boat new from the factory!

This trailer was delivered to our trailer rebuilder's location in Orlando on Tuesday. They'll make it look brand new for us!

I knew it was a risk driving it down there on the tires that were on it, but I didn't want to change them because I knew they were being replaced as part of the process anyway. They ALMOST failed on the way down, but didn't. Notice the missing tread on one tire, and the strip of tire stuck to the back of the trailer when I arrived!

This boat was lifted off of its trailer today, and put down on a spare trailer. The trailer for this boat is heading out to be completely refurbished. It'll have new paint, refreshed wheels, refreshed bunks, new bearings, a whole new brake system, new tires, a new tongue, and all new Nautique graphics. Stay tuned for the "after" pictures of the trailer!
